What are you reading at the minute, in what medium (print, e or audio), and how do you rate it?
I usually read several books in parallel, and I enjoy all formats, even though my heart will always belong to physical books! Right now, I’m reading Intermezzo by Sally Rooney (as the incurable millennial I am) in print, and La llamada by Leila Guerriero in audio.

What is the best thing about going to international book fairs?
I think the best thing about international book fairs is the 'serendipity' factor. Every time I attend one, thinking I already know how it works, I’m pleasantly surprised by unexpected encounters with both familiar and new people, and by all the little things I hadn’t anticipated!

If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
I wish I had a Secret Voice, like in Bianca Pitzorno's book, so I could communicate with babies, animals, objects, and furniture.

What do you consider to be publishing’s greatest opportunity at the minute, and why?
It has never been so easy to reach every corner of the world! This opens up endless opportunities to discover new audiences and share diverse voices, breaking down geographical barriers.

What do you consider to be publishing’s greatest threat at the minute, and why?
Apart from concerns about AI (I won’t open that can of worms here!), I would say the growing consolidation of large publishing groups, which have been acquiring numerous independent publishers in recent years, poses a significant risk to diversity in the industry.

What one thing would make your job significantly easier?
If time could pause every once in a while so I could finally catch up with my inbox!
