Bologna Children’s Book Fair and Publishers Weekly are pleased to announce the Global Kids Connect Conference that brings together an exclusive group of leading international children’s book publishing professionals to explore the most important ideas, people, and technologies that are shaping the way the industry is changing in a global marketplace.
Opportunities for children’s book publishers to do business on a global scale are more abundant than ever, but along with increased opportunities come increased risks and challenges. The Global Kids Connect Conference will address the tough issues that many children’s book publishers are dealing with.
The range of speakers and activities is dynamic and compelling: expect to be inspired by presentations; pull up a seat to our revealing fireside chats; catch up on latest market trends and learn from case studies in our moderated panels; bring your own professional and industry challenges and concerns to the fore and ask the experts.
We already have an impressive lineup of speakers, including: Nosy Crow’s Kate Wilson; Dylan Collins of SuperAwesome; Christopher Franceschelli of SmartInk Books + HandPrint Books; Eric Huang of Made in Me; Emmanuelle Marie of France’s Bayard Group; historian Leonard Marcus.
Subject and speakers have been selected also thanks to our advisory committee, including: PW’s Diane Roback; Ginger Clark of Curtis Brown; Neal Porter of Neal Porter Books; Betsy Groban of HMH; Jon Colman of the Children’s Book Council; and Nosy Crow’s Kate Wilson.
The event will be offering fantastic networking opportunities open to anyone who works in children’s publishing, media, technology, education or entertainment.
