Premio Carla Poesio

A part of its ongoing commitment to promoting publishing excellence, the Bologna Children’s Book Fair is now focusing on the world of research by establishing a permanent award dedicated to the best dissertations in children’s literature.

The prize, currently awarded for postgraduate works in Italian University only, pays tribute to the literary critic Carla Poesio, her fundamental contribution to the world of children’s literature and her unique role in the birth and development of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair.

The winner of the fifth edition (2023) is Caterina Foglieri with the thesis Tra voli e cadute. Gli atterraggi di fortuna nella letteratura per l’infanzia (University of Bologna).

The winning theses of the previous editions - ll romanzo distopico alla Scuola Primaria: utopia o realtà? by Ilaria Martino, La televisione italiana rappresentata sulle riviste per ragazzi, by Sara Mugerli, and Tracce di materia e luce nella letteratura per l’infanzia: la preziosità dell’oro tra il qui e l’altrove, by Alice Galletti, were published by Edition ETS.
