BolognaRagazzi CrossMedia Award - The 2025 Winners

The jury of the 2025 BolognaRagazzi CrossMedia Awards was faced with 120 nominated projects from 34 countries around the world. The five professionals, experts in digital content for children and young people, identified two winners - one for the CrossMedia Projects category and one for the Digital Reading Experiences - and six special mentions.

Trends: the award has seen the confirmation of certain trends, such as the spread of audio content for children, featuring among this year’s winners in the form of a podcast series and a digital device for audiobooks. Once again, at this edition many of the entries tackled difficult topics, endeavouring to make themes like illness, the Holocaust, scientific concepts and gender equality more accessible for children.

Among the new features worth noting this year were the appearance of artificial intelligence chatbots that enable the reader to dialogue with characters from the stories, and immersive installations that make it possible to explore the contents of books in libraries and museum spaces in an interactive way.
