Bologna Portfolio Award

FIL Guadalajara debuts a new Bologna Children's Book Fair award for illustrators attending a Portfolio Review at the Fair: the Bologna Portfolio Award.

Bologna Children’s Book Fair will offer the winner a round-trip to the next Fair in Bologna (31 March - 3 April 2025).

The Award aims to acknowledge the pivotal professional role of an illustrator’s portfolio as a key to accessing new job opportunities and as the main communication tool between the illustrator and his/her clients (publishers, art directors, agents, etc.)

The Bologna Portfolio Award is open to all illustrators attending a Portfolio Review organized by The Illustrators Survival Corner at the 2024 edition of FIL Guadalajara (30 November to 4 December 2024 at the BCBF stand, International area HH7).

Bologna Children's Book Fair will also offer all those entering the competition a free code to access the 2025 Illustrators Wall, the BCBF website’s ‘digital wall’ where illustrators have a chance to show their illustrated stories and post a short personal profile including their e-mail, website and social network contacts.
