PUBLISHING ACTIVITY

The UK'A Editorial has been, since 2010, an extension of the UK'A Institute, planned and coordinated by Daniel Munduruku, an awardwinning Indigenous author, professor, speaker, and activist for the rights of Indigenous peoples in Brazil. With its growth, it was restructured to become an independent publishing house in December 2023. Its focus is the publication of works by Indigenous authors, both national and international, from a wide range of peoples and nations Indigenous literature in Brazil is primarily produced by small ethnic publishers such as UK'A, and we proudly occupy this position as one of the pioneers in our country.
