Liels un Mazs is a family-owned and run children’s book publisher based in Riga, Latvia, founded in 2004 by Alise Nigale, Inese Zandere, and Una Laukmane. In 2024, we are celebrating a milestone birthday, and our list has grown from one to over 300 titles strong. Over the years, our work has been recognised with various awards nationally and internationally, the highlight of which was the Bologna Prize for the Best Children’s Publishers of the Year for Europe in 2022.
