The W1 publishing group includes NordSüd, Arctis, Atrium Kinderbuch, WooW Books and von Hacht in the field of children's books. We also publish books in the English language area with our labels NorthSouth Books and Arctis USA. NordSüd is our flagship publisher - located in Zürich, Switzerland and is the top performer in picture books in the German language area. NordSüd also owns NorthSouth Books, which is of comparable size in the USA and Canada. von Hacht Publishing is a boutique publisher of children’s books based in Hamburg, Germany. The programme is a top-quality, international collection of meticulously selected, beautiful picture books and middle grade adventures. Atrium Kinderbuch is also known as „Erich Kästner“ Verlag. In addition to the very popular classics by Erich Kästner, Atrium Kinderbuch publishes a mixture of children's classics, narrative books by contemporary authors and narrative non-fiction books for children aged 4 to 12. WooW Books is aimed at children between 5 and 14 and offers a colourful mix: in addition to exciting adventures with a touch of magic, WooW Books offers unconventional read-aloud stories with funny characters, imaginative fantasy and sensitively told stories with wit and depth from a child's perspective. The icing on the cake is a range of high-quality decorative editions. Arctis has since been delighting teenagers and young adults with selected, high-quality books by German and international authors. In addition to exceptional fantasy literature we publish contemporary novels as well as books with topical themes. Diversity is important to us, as evidenced by our bestselling Tiktok phenomenon Adam Silvera.
