Welcome to the Chinese Market

A Great Home For Children's Content

Monday 1 aprile
h.10,30 am
Sala Concerto (Services Centre)

The Chinese publishing market is now one of the most interesting in the world, second only to the United States, with an average annual increase of 19% . The interest in children's books in China is also consolidated thanks to the 367 million children and young people and the 40 thousand new titles published each year for them. The Bologna Children's Book Fair has had the opportunity to understand this key market much more detail, becoming co-organizer of the China Shanghai International Children's Book Fair  (CCBF), the only fair in the Asia Pacific area entirely dedicated to books and content for children.

This international meeting organized by BolognaFiere and China Publishers (1 April, Sala Concerto, 1.00 P.M.) will be a great opportunity to understand the many opportunities offered by the Chinese publishing world: from the most recent market data, thanks to the presentation of an in-depth research conducted by China Publishers - the most important Chinese magazine in this field, partner of BCBF, who will release a special issue dedicated to the Fair – and from the experiences of important Chinese and international publishers;  it will also include a preview of the seventh edition of CCBF to be held from 15 to 17 November 2019.
