BLACK BOOKS MATTERS. African American Words and Colors is the conference organized by BCBF about the world of African literature and illustration.
On Monday, April 1st (Concert Hall at 3 pm) a very prestigious panel of speakers will welcome professional visitors to BolognaFiere:
Leonard S. Marcus, critic and historian of children's literature (USA), will coordinate the talk.
The event will pair with the exhibition Our Voice: Celebrating the Coretta Scott King Illustrator Award, showcasing the work of over 30 major picture books authors and their representation of the life, history and culture of African Americans. A true excursus into the AfricanAmerican imagination, completing the intense debate that animated by the BCBF panel.
