Global Kids Connect returns in 2018 with a series of events organized by the Bologna Children's Book Fair in partnership with Publishers Weekly and defined as a working ‘breakfast’, during which each time the focus will be on emerging topics and contents in kids publishing.
The first meeting is scheduled for January 25 and the theme of the discussion will be audiobooks and the new opportunities related not only to these products but also to the whole world of audio content.
A hot topic that BCBF has decided to deepen during the 2018 BCBF fair with a conference set for Monday, March 26th. Everything begins with the question: are we heading into a golden age of audio? Audiobooks are experiencing double-digit increases, the podcast marketplace explosively grows and voice-activated smart speakers are more popular. Many are the opportunities but also the concerns: privacy issues, discoverability challenges and limited analytics. The event will be a deep dive into the audio ecosystem for kids, teens and adults and will feature a mix of audiobook publishers, podcasters, platforms, distributors, and brands discussing the evolution of audio.
