The new call for proposals "Support to Literary translation projects" aimed at promoting the circulation of European literary works (not only EU) has been published within the Creative Europe Program.
The model supporting the translation of the works applied in the previous calls has been confirmed. It envisages that financing concerns, structured editorial plans that include the publication and distribution of the selected works and highlight the promotion strategy also through the use of digital tools. The contribution (which finances up to 50% of the costs for a maximum of 100,000 Euros) therefore covers not only the cost of translation, but also the costs of production and promotion of the published works.
The call allows the presentation of two-years projects in order to obtain contributions for the translation and promotion of literary works originating from European Union countries. Projects must only relate to narrative works, including children's fiction and comics. The deadline for submitting a proposal is June 4th.
More in-depth information is available on the Aldus website - the network of European book fairs that see Bologna Children Book Fair as partner- where it is possible to download the materials of the workshop dedicated to Creative Europe which took place at the Fair last April 15th.
