The Bologna Children's Book Fair is glad to renew its partnership with Pitti Immagine Bimbo for the 86th edition that will be held from January 18 to 20 at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence. Many interesting updates were presented during the latest press conference in Milan, hosted in the beautiful MUBA – Museo dei Bambini.
'The Extraordinary Library’ will return with the new 100 illustrated books for children selected by Marcella Terrusi and Silvana Sola, this year focused on the magic of the show and stage: many stunning titles dedicated to cinema, theatre, ballet, opera, acrobatic arts and circuses, demonstrating that children’s publishing has no boundaries or limits.
Illustration will literally accompany all the visitors in this winter edition of Pitti Bimbo: each area of the event will be marked with the artwork of some illustrators selected for the 2016 and 2017 edition of the Illustrators’ Exhibition. Later, they’ll be exhibited on the TimeSquare visual wall of the Fortezza and published in a catalogue complete with the biographies of each artist.
Finally, the presence of the Bologna Licensing Trade Fair with the initiative ‘NiceLicensing’: for the first time in Pitti Immagine’s history, there will be a new space completely dedicated to the 22 brands that aims to bring forth the world of fashion and clothing for children and young.
