Bologna Licensing Trade Fair/Kids (BLTF/Kids) is the leading international licensing event dedicated to brands for children, teens, and young adults. Part of the Bologna Children's Book Fair, it returns to BolognaFiere from 13 to 16 April 2026 for its 19th edition — and it has never been more relevant.
BLTF/Kids is the Transmedia Pavilion of the Bologna Children's Book Fair — a space where worlds, characters and narratives across different formats converge, reflecting a landscape in which stories are no longer confined to a single medium but live and travel across multiple platforms.
The pavilion is also home to the TV/Film Rights Centre and the Games Business Centre, making it the natural meeting point for anyone working across content, entertainment and licensing.
This year, over 70 companies are part of the pavilion, and a new collaboration with Play – Festival del Gioco has given rise to the Play Trade zone, further expanding the boundaries of what the fair can offer.
Among the several professional facilities there is a dedicated online matchmaking service, designed to create meaningful connections between exhibitors and the publishing professionals, audiovisual players and gaming experts who populate the Book Fair. One-to-one appointments are carefully curated by the organisers for both stand holders and participants in the Licensing Business Lounge. In 2025, the launch of a new digital platform took this a step further, generating more than 1,700 meetings.
The Licensing Business Lounge itself is a space built around efficiency and opportunity — a place where licensors, agencies and service providers can book a table, access tailored services and make the most of every moment at the fair.
Each year, the International Kids Licensing & Media Days (IKLMD) gather the industry's leading voices for three days of in-depth conversation on what matters most in children's content — from licensing to publishing, audiovisual to gaming, to toy and beyond. The programme is shaped in cooperation with Licensing Magazine.
Finally, the Bologna Licensing Awards — now in their 9th year — celebrate the best of the international licensing community, recognising the licensors, agencies, licensees and retailers whose work strengthens the entire value chain.
