Songsong Books Publishing is releasing Kyung-kyu Cho's food comic "Omurice Jam Jam". It has been published since 2010 and has become a long-running favorite for 15 years. This book was not originally created for children readers. However, at some point, the majority of its readers has become children. It is said to be the most requested book in school libraries. Our publishing house often hears complaints that the book has become worn out from being read so much by children readers. We have tried hard to make the book sturdy, but it inevitably wears out after being read thousands of times. During author signings, children from all over the country come with their worn copies of the book. Thinking about children trying to read a heavy book of over 500 pages weighs on our hearts. So, we decided to create a children’s version of the book. If children in Korea love this comic so much, wouldn’t children around the world enjoy it too? This is why Songsong Publishing wants to participate in the Bologna Children’s Book Fair.
