The Frankfurter Buchmesse is the world's most important generalist book fair, which is even more significant for BCBF in this edition due to the presence of ‘Italy Guest of Honour’ 2024: an event in which Bologna will also take part through the organisation of "From illustration to comics. Pencils in talented young hands", an important exhibition dedicated to young talents in contemporary Italian illustration that will be set up in the Italian Pavilion.
In addition to the exhibition, the participation of Bologna Children's Book Fair at the Frankfurt Fair has scheduled the presentation at the BCBF stand of the ‘IBBY Honour List’, an exhibition of books dedicated to the excellence of Italian children's production, and networking events and presentations of the next editions of Bologna Children's Book Fair, BolognaBookPlus and Bologna Licensing Trade Fair/Kids. Guided tours of the exhibitions will be organised by experts.
