PUBLISHING ACTIVITY
FILI – Finnish Literature Exchange supports and promotes the publication of Finnish literature in translation around the world. FILI distributes annually approx. €600,000 in translation grants, travel grants and promotional grants. FILI organises Editors’ Week fellowship for international publishers, participates in major publishing trade fairs abroad, acts as a focal point for translators of Finnish literature, maintains a database of translations of Finnish literature and collects data on translation rights sold abroad. FILI, founded in 1977, is a department of the Finnish Literature Society.
