Mateja Bizjak-Petit is a poet, translator and director. She has been head of the Centre de Créations pour l'Enfance - House of Poetry in France, since 2011.
She has also been co-founder of the youth poetry festival in Tinqueux since 2013. Mateja studied theater at the University of Ljubljana. She specialized at the Théâtre des Mains nues in Paris and at the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta. In 2018, she received the title of Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres in France. She was lucky to be rocked by poetry from a very young age and is convinced that poetry is one of the most reassuring springs for every situation.
