The Illustrators Survival Corner made its debut at the Moscow International Book Fair from 4 to 8 September 2019 in the events and a special children's illustration section organized in collaboration with The Bologna Children’s Book Fair.
The Illustrators Survival Corner is a reference point for illustrators where artists – young and emerging talent especially – can share experiences and question about the profession with a whole range of international experts and find the tools they need to launch and enhance their career.
In this special Russian edition there were a hands-on seminar and solutions focused evens that took place over three days, offering a rich programme of workshops, portfolio reviews, masterclasses and meetings held by internationally renowned artists.
The program also provided a special focus on self publishing and a professional development path for the entire editorial production chain from the point of view of the illustrator: from creativity in design, self promotion, to the management of the workplace.
The space was managed and designed by Mimaster Illustrazione (Milan), an international training institution for illustrators.The activities of the Corner were aimed at young emerging artists and professionals, offering a daily line-up of events that includes:
