Starting from a market analysis, we will talk about strategies to define target and image, thanks to the use of AI and the most innovative tools at the service of the author, and the new printing solutions for the children & YA indie authors.

Miriam Fracavallo is an internationally recognized expert in self-publishing, with extensive experience in independently publishing and promoting books. In 2019, she founded Charlie Creative Lab in London, an agency dedicated to supporting authors and creatives throughout their independent publishing journey. To expand her reach, she later established Blue Sea in Cyprus (2022) and American Multimedia Hub in the USA (2024), creating a global network of agencies.
With her expertise and deep industry knowledge, Miriam has helped numerous self-publishers (and beyond) develop effective strategies for publishing, distribution, and marketing, making her a key figure in the self-publishing sector
Clive Herbert has worked in the book trade for over 30 years, starting as a Branch Manager and Fiction buyer for James Thin Booksellers, before joining their head office team in Edinburgh as the Group Buying Manager. He joined Nielsen BookData in 2002, first as Publisher Relations Manager and then as Head of Publishing Services. His current role, as Head of Professional Services, involves responsibility for Registration Agencies, which supplies ISBNs and SANs to the UK book trade. He continues to work with publishers large and small, helping them improve the quality of their bibliographic data to support their sales and marketing activities. An avid reader of historical non-fiction and crime novels, Clive enjoys meeting publishers and authors and helping them to understand the book supply chain and advise them on good data practice. He is a regular speaker at author and self-publisher events both in the UK and overseas.
Social Media Strategist since 2022, she has been responsible for the digital implementation of the Master in Publishing at the University of Verona in collaboration with DGLine. Since 2024, she has also served as a tutor for internships and traineeships.
As of 2025, she has been working as a freelance Social Media Strategist, supporting creative industries—publishing, art, entertainment, and culture—in developing their digital presence and online promotion.
Has been with Amazon for 8 years, currently serving as Head of Kindle Direct Publishing for Italy, France, Spain, and South America.
Sara Speciani has been working for over twenty years in the publishing world, covering different roles and positions that allow her to have a 360-degree vision on the market.
Expert in media communication and events, she collaborates at various levels with the most important fairs in the sector - Turin Book Fair (Libreria dei Self Publisher project), Book Pride, Più Libri più Liberi and Bologna Children’s Book Fair - and with publishers trade associations.
