Premio Carla Poesio

A part of its ongoing commitment to promoting publishing excellence, the Bologna Children’s Book Fair is now focusing on the world of research by establishing a permanent award dedicated to the best dissertations in children’s literature.

The prize, currently awarded for postgraduate works in Italian University only, pays tribute to the literary critic Carla Poesio, her fundamental contribution to the world of children’s literature and her unique role in the birth and development of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair.

The winner of the seventh edition (2025) is Giulia Piselli with the thesis "Oltre la soglia. Simboli e mito dell'attraversamento come immagine della Trasformazione" (Corso di Illustrazione per l'Editoria - Accademia delle Belle Arti, Bologna).

The winning theses of the previous editions were published by Edizioni ETS.
