We are glad to announce the winner of the fourth edition of the Carla Poesio award for the best Italian dissertation on children's literature.
Among the 14 theses received from universities across Italy, the jury identified three finalists:
The winner is Noemi Fiorito with Tracce di materia e luce nella letteratura per l’infanzia: la preziosità dell’oro tra il qui e l’altrove (Roma Tre).
Noemi's thesis was published by ETS publishing house in 2023, with the support of BolognaFiere.
Noemi Fiorito has a degree in Pedagogical Sciences from Roma Tre and a degree in Italian Studies from Sapienza University.
A childminder and teacher with a passion for children’s literature, she has been working on narratological analysis applied to autobiographies for guidance-related purposes.
She is continuing her studies into the presence and meaning of meta-narrative aspects in youth literature, specifically regarding their implications on language education, early critical approaches to text, and relationships between narrative and life.
She works with the “Il Pepeverde” magazine.
