Barroux (France) studied photography, art, sculpture, and architecture in France at the famous École Estienne and École Boule.

He went on to work as an art director in Paris and Montreal. While in Montreal, Barroux began illustrating creating linocut images.

He is now well known for his children’s book illustrations.

Nana Furiya

Nana Furiya is an Illustrator and author of children’s books.

Born in Tokyo, Japan, she studied printmaking and illustration in Prof. Dušan Kállay’s studio at the Academy of Fine Art and Design in Bratislava.

Nana Furiya won the Golden Pen at the International Illustration Biennial of Belgrade in 1999 and was selected for the 2021 White Ravens.

Agata Loth-Ignaciuk

Agata Loth-Ignaciuk was born in 1973 in Warsaw, Poland. She is the founder and editor-in-chief of Druganoga Publishing House.

In 1996, she was awarded a Master of Business Administration from the University of Warsaw and in 1998, received an Associate of Applied Sciencedegree in Graphic Design from the Parsons School of Design in New York. Back in Warsaw, she continued her education, obtaining a Master of Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, graduating in set design.

Agata worked for several years across various disciplines: costume designer, art director in advertising (Bates Poland) and graphic designer in Edipresse Poland at Przekrój Magazine, where her main interest was content and editorial design. During this time, her interest in writing and illustrating books for children continued to evolve.

In 2016, she launched her own publishing house for children - Druganoga. Her diverse education and experience allowed her to understand both the creative and business side of publishing. Although relatively new to the publishing market, Druganoga authors and illustrators have received several prizes, including the Bologna Ragazzi Award Special Mention for Non-fiction, the Green Island Award at Nami Concours, the Ibby Poland Distinction for Graphic Design, and the Gourmand Award for the 3 Best in the World Children’s Cookbooks . Books published by Druganoga have been published in several countries.

Irene Savino

Irene Savino was born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1953. A graphic designer, illustrator and publisher, she has been the art director of Ediciones Ekaré since 1984.

She is a professor at the Postgraduate Diploma in Illustration for Children's and Teenagers' Publications in the EINA Escola de Disseny i Art of Barcelona, and has also taught at the Master's Degree of Books and Children's and Young People's Literature of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona - Banco del Libro between 2006 and 2018.

She studied Graphic Design at the Neumann Institute in Caracas, has a degree in Illustration from New York’s Parsons School of Design and a degree in Artistic Bookbinding from the Escola Superior de Disseny i Art Llotja in Barcelona. She has lived in Caracas, Viareggio, New York and, since 1998, in Barcelona, Spain.

Irene has illustrated several children's books and some of her illustrations are held by the Chihiro Art Museum (Japan). Her illustrated books are included in the White Ravens list, among the Los Mejores del Banco del Libro, and the NOMA Illustration Concourse of the Asia/Pacific Cultural Centre for UNESCO.

Valerio Vidali

Valerio Vidali was born in Lodi in 1983: he is an Italian illustrator and picture book author.

His work has received numerous recognitions. His book The Forest (Enchanted Lion, 2018) was a New York Times Best Illustrated Book, as was his book Jemmy Button, in 2013. Valerio received the Grand Prix of Ilustrarte, International Biennal of Illustration of Lisbon, and the CJ Picture Book Award, as well as acknowledgements from the American Society of Illustrators and the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. His book Hundert (Kein & Aber 2018) was nominated for the German Children’s Literature Award and has been translated into 17 languages. In 2020, he illustrated the first English edition of Telephone Tales by Gianni Rodari for Enchanted Lion, now also published by Einaudi Ragazzi in Italy as the celebratory edition for the 60th anniversary of Rodari's masterpiece.

Valerio currently lives and works in Porto, (Portugal) where he is learning traditional tile painting and furniture making.
