Pato Lógico is a Portuguese independent publishing house created as a means to do books with freedom of thought, freedom of choice and freedom to take chances. Pato Lógico publishes defiant books for curious readers of all ages. Pato Lógico’s books stimulate critical thinking and promote reflexion about the human being and the world that surrounds him. 
Pato Lógico is also an educational project. Using books as a point of departure, Pato Lógico has created a service that offers a set of workshops, author’s sessions and touring exhibitions for schools, libraries or other improvised venues. This way we promote art and culture in general and fight exclusion by working closely with education agents and creating easy access to all. The educational service also helps the editorial activity. Through our author’s sessions, workshops and exhibitions we can connect directly with our readers without depending exclusively on the booksellers’ circuit.

Some of Pato Lógico’s most successful books are “Se eu fosse um livro” (If I were a book), translated in 14 languages, “Mar” (Sea) distinguished with a non-fiction mention in the BolognaRagazzi Awards and translated in seven languages and “A Guerra” (War), which has won 11 awards since being published in 2018, including Nami Concours Grand Prix, NY Rights Fair Talking Pictures Award (Children’s Picture Book category), Portuguese Illustration Prize, BIB Plaque 2019 and Little Hakka Best of the Best.
