  1. Hei Mi, female, is a freelancer illustrator and the winner of the Golden Apple Award presented in the Biennial Illustrations Bratislava,

 

  1. Xiong Liang, male, writer and painter, a well-known picture book artist, a pioneer and mentor in promoting the development of original picture books in China. A number of his works have been translated into other languages and became the prize-winner abroad for so many times.

 

  1. Cai Gao, from Changsha, is a well-known female picture book painter,, Hunan. One of her works, Fox Devil in the Wilderness, won the Golden Apple Award at the 14th Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava in 1993.

 

  1. Zha Xuan, a female painter, is a graduate from the Tianjin Academy of Art. Her representative works are Annie of Green Gables and Pinocchio,The Tale of a Puppet.

 

  1. Chen Zexin, male, was born in Beijing with his hometown in Shantou, Gunadong. Heand worked at Jiangsu Children’s Books Publishing House. He majors in illustration and design for children’s books. He takes it as a fortunate to be engaged in such a career so that he could live in children’s hearts forever and see the most beautiful and innocent parts of the world with them. He was nominated for the Swedish Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award for Illustration in 2016.

 

  1. Gong Yanling, female, is from Nanjing, Jiangsu. She started to work on illustration in 2005. In 2010, one of her works was collected in the Highlight of Illustrations - Selected Works of World Children's Picture Books, published by Zhejiang People's Fine Arts Publishing House. A Big Fish Touring the East was shortlisted for the 2015 Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava (China Region) while The Seamless Needle was selected for the Frankfurt Book Fair of Original Chinese Picture Books in 2016.

 

  1. He Danni, a 26-year-old female, is currently doing a master’s degree in Illustration Department of the Camberwell College of Arts at the University of the Arts London.. She studies as an undergraduate at the Picture Book Creation Studio of the Urban Information Design Department at the Central Academy of Fine Arts.

 

  1. Huang Chaogui, male, a student of Zheng Wanlinr. He is among the elite faculties of Guangxi Arts University.

 

  1. Huang He, male, is a native of Chongqing. He is a graduate of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and is now working as an illustrator. He loves floral and fauna, and just as his resume goes, he has been living a simple life. His representative works are The Bookworm Family series and The Elephant Wearing a Red Armband.

     
  1. Huang Jie, a female picture book painter with a pursuit for freedom, is a graduate from the Academy of Arts & Design of Tsinghua University. She began working on picture books from 2008. She focused on the depiction of details and therefore her works are both exquisite and gentle. Her main works include the Chinese picture book series of Childhood, Goodbye, Little Blue and White Flowers, Grandma Grows into A Little Girl and so on.

 

  1. Huang Lili, currently living in UK, is a female freelancer illustrator.. She graduated from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 2005 and has been engaged in game design in Shanghai and the UK. She beame a freelancer illustrator in 2013. She is good at depicting nature in watercolors and has published many nature-themed greeting cards in Europe.

 

  1. Jiu Er,, formerly known as Yang Hongli, is a well-known female picture book writer. She liked drawing and making clay figurines since childhood and was later admitted to an art academy. After graduation, she had been engaged in sculpture design for many years. Out of the keen interest in picture books, she decidedly convicted to painting brushes from the carving knife. Since then, she has focused on children's illustration. Her works include The Younger Sister's Big Pumpkin, The Monster Mountain, Don't Rope-skip with a Frog, Hometown That Can't Go Back to, An Encounter at the Right Time, and so on.

 

  1. Li Haiyan, a female professional painter, was born in Northeast China and graduated from Luxun Academy of Fine Arts.

 

  1. Li Hongzhuan, male, is a well-known children’s illustrator, one of his representative works include the Umbrella Tree.

 

  1. Liu Xun, male, is a native of Nanjing. He majored in arts and crafts as a college student and once worked on design and animation production. Due to his keen interest in oil painting, he went to the Central Academy of Fine Arts to study oil painting several years later, and many of his oil paintings have won awards at national exhibitions.

 

  1. Liu Zhenjun, male, specialized in illustration and creation of children's picture books. His representative works include Ding Ding Dang Dang, The Fairy Tales I Read, Classic Bedtime Children Stories, Fairy Night Elves, World Children's Stories on Virtue, Classic Enlightenment Books for Children, and so on.

 

  1. Man Tao, male, was born in 1982. He is a professional painter and illustrator. He took to drawing at the age of three and has been consistently working on art creation since then. In his senior year of college in 2009, he held a personal exhibition in South Korea. His works were once selected for the 2015 Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava.

 

  1. Shen Yuanyuan, female, graduated from China Academy of Art in 1981. She worked as art editor for China Juvenile and Children's Books Publishing House.in 1985 and has since been being engaged in illustration for children’s literature. Years of creation has made her find out what is required as an illustrator for juvenile and children’s books and what an illustrator’s pursuitt should be. She also learnt what makes a proper illustrator. Therefore, she requires herself to do a good job in what she truly loves to do.

 

  1. Suo Xiaoling, female, is a professor at the College of Animation and Digital Arts of the Communication University of China, a Master instructor, Deputy Director of the Animation Department, and member of China Animation Society.

 

  1. Wang Yi, female, is also known as Gu Gan (literally meaning backbone). She is a native of Changsha, Hunan , a graduate from the Central Academy of Craft Arts and a column painter of a financial magazine. She has been engaged in illustration for many years, and her major works include the Forest Newspaper (Pictorial Version), Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio, and Happy Prince & Edward Wilde's Fairy Tales.

 

  1. Wang Zumin, male, is a native of Suzhou, Jiangsu,. the artistic director of the Oriental Kids, a famous illustrator of children's books, a well-known art editor and former editor-in-chief of the Children's Story Pictorial. He is mainly engaged in illustration for magazines and picture books. Huqiu Mountain, once of his works, won the UNESCO Japanese Noma Award and I'm a Tiger and No One Scares Me was included in the 2016 Bologna International Illustration Exhibition.

 

  1. Xu Kaiyun, male, is a professional artist, a member of Shanghai Artists Association, and a painter with Shanghai Baicao Painting Academy. He has been engaged in children's painting for many years, and was invited to work as an art editor for a French children's magazine in 1995.

 

  1. Xu Danqing, female, won the first prize and the most popular award during the 2017 College Student Animation Contest on the theme of Sweet Hometown. Her graduation design was also given honor of excellence by Beijing University of Technology.

 

  1. Yang Sifan, male, is a picture book writer and illustrator. He once worked as an editor of children's magazines, and later became an art director for children's books.

 

  1. Yang Wa, a female painter, is a graduate from the Mural Design Department of Tsinghua University’s Academy of Arts & Design. She is author of the picture book of The Peony Pavilion.

 

  1. Yu Hongcheng, female, was born in Hengyang, Hunan Province in 1989. She graduated from the Urban Design and Picture Book Studio of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2011. While in college, she was presented the 2010 National Scholarship. In 2012, she went to the UK for a master's degree in illustration and printmaking and has been devoted to the creation and innovation of Chinese original picture books ever since graduation. She was the author of the picture book Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai (by CITIC Publishing House) and the Twelve Traditional Chinese Festivals - Lantern Festival (by Guizhou People's Publishing House). She was named by the Beijing Youth Daily as the "New Face of 2015 Reading Year".

 

  1. Yu Rong, female, is a British Chinese. She graduated with a master’s degree in arts from the Royal College of Art in the UK, focusing on visual communication and design. She was taught by Sir Quentin Saxby, a British master of children’s literature. She is currently living in a countryside in the UK, devoting herself to the painting career. The picture books authored by her have been published in many countries including the United Kingdom, the United States, Italy, the Netherlands, Japan, France, Sweden, and New Zealand. The Cloud-like Myna won the 24th Golden Award during the 24th Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava and was named as The Most Beautiful Book in China in 2013.

 

  1. Zhu Chengliang, male, is a well-known Chinese children's painter and a member of the Chinese Artists Association. He loves creation of picture books, and his works have won many awards both home and abroad. The Twinkling Rabbit Lamp won the Noma Award from the United Nations Asian Cultural Center; The Story of the Kitchen King won the second prize during the fourth National Comic Book Contest; the Tiger-head Shoes won the first prize during the second National Selection of Excellent Children's Reading Materials; the Reunion won the first prize of the Feng Zikai Children's Picture Book Award.

 

  1. Li Ke, female, graduated from the Academy of Arts & Design of Tsinghua University. As a professional painter, she possesses solid art skills and many years of illustration experience. The style of her painting is elegant, colorful, wth exquisite composition and delicate strokes, extremely appealing in a word.

 

  1. Liu Xiangwei, male, painter. A graduate from Luxun Academy of Fine Arts,.he has authored a number of picture books, such as The Divergence, Stealing the Emperor’s Horse and Empty City Strategy.
