ART. 1 - PURPOSE OF THE AWARD
The BolognaRagazzi Digital Award considers all forms of interactive media inspired by children’s stories, otherwise known as narrative driven interactive media. The approach to this definition is open-minded and it will be possible to consider innovative products that tap the potential of interactive media for children in the areas of education and entertainment such as apps, content libraries, web-series and websites. Participation in the BolognaRagazzi Digital Award competition is free and open to all developers and publishers.
The International Jury will seek to award best in class work across the Kids Media industry taking a critical look at work published on mobile app stores and the web (for use via a browser).
The International Jury will award a Grand Prize and also, if it sees fit, Special Mentions for, by way of example but not limited to these, Best Art Concept, Best User Experience, and Best for Learning.
ART. 2 - REQUIREMENTS
Products should be designed for children from 0 to 15 years old. Entries must be released for the first time in the period from 1st January 2018 to 31st January 2020. Participation in the Award is subject to complete acceptance of these regulations. In particular, each participant declares and warrants that he is the owner of the rights necessary for the works to be entered for the Award. The decisions of the International Jury shall be final.
ART. 3 - WORKS FOR SUBMISSION
Publishers and /or developers may enter one or more works.
ART. 4 - APPLICATION FORM
The Application Form available from this website must be duly filled within 31st January 2020. Please make sure you send a link to the free demo or promo-codes valid throughout 6th April 2020 in order to allow the evaluation of the product submitted and possible promotional activities by the Press Office. A link to a demo video of the project is requested.

ART. 5 - JURY
All titles shall be submitted to the final decision of an International Jury, which shall be made up of publishing sector experts including graphic designers, interactive design specialists and new media reviewers.
ART. 6 - RIGHTS OF BOLOGNAFIERE
The Publisher and/or the developer shall remain the exclusive owner of its titles but accords BolognaFiere the non-exclusive right:
- to reproduce the titles entered and accepted on posters, flyers and other digital or printed matter pertaining to the “Bologna Children’s Book Fair” as well as online;
- to use in any form, even separately, with the faculty to cede this right to third parties of its choice, reproductions of the works submitted and accepted in the catalogue as well as reproduce said material in other publications pertaining to the “Bologna Children’s Book Fair”, conditional upon mention of the author(s) and the publisher(s) of the work in question.
BolognaFiere furthermore shall have the right to reproduce, also in part, the works submitted and accepted. BolognaFiere accepts no liability for eventual errors and omissions.
ART. 7 - PRIZES
The Prizes shall be awarded to the Publisher and/or the Developer whose title and specific edition is declared the winner.
In the event of a joint publication, the Prize shall be awarded jointly to the co-publishers concerned and shall be presented to the Publisher who submitted the application first. For the purposes of the competition, only those titles expressly indicated as co-publications shall be regarded as such.
ART. 8 - CANCELLATION OR CHANGES TO THE INITIATIVE
BolognaFiere may at its sole discretion decide to cancel the Award or change the dates without any kind of compensation being due to the participants.
ART. 9 -PRIVACY NOTICE
BolognaFiere undertakes to process the personal data made available by the participants of the BolognaRagazzi Award in compliance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) No. 2016/679, as well as with the guidelines and requirements laid down by the Data Protection Supervisory Authority and any other applicable regulation.
ART. 10 - NATURE OF THE INITIATIVE
The initiative governed by these regulations qualifies for the exemption referred to in art. 6 of Italian Presidential Decree D. P. R. 430 of 26 October 2001.
ART. 11 - ITALIAN JURISDICTION AND COMPETENT COURT OF LAW
Relations between the participants in this initiative and BolognaFiere are governed by Italian law. All disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Italian judicial authorities and shall be the exclusive competence of the Bologna court of law.
ART. 12 - FINAL CLAUSE
Participation in the Initiative and use of the awards are entirely free of charge and entail no obligation or commitment of any kind beyond the participation conditions set out in these regulations.
