PUBLISHING ACTIVITY

Patakis Publishers was founded in 1974. It is one of the leading publishing houses in Greece. The first titles published were in the area of educational books and were written by Stefanos Patakis, the company's founder. We currently publish a wide range of books in all fields, with key areas of our publishing activity being in education, books for children and young adults, literature -both translated and original Greek fiction-, general non-fiction, humanities, sciences, as well as dictionaries and general reference. With more than 6.000 titles in print and around 400 new titles every year, we have established a prestigious list with prominent Greek and foreign authors and award-winning titles (State Literature Prizes, Greek IBBY Award, etc.).
