Shuter & Shooter Publishers (Pty) Ltd is a proudly South African company with a long and rich history. The company was founded in 1850 and originally traded as a book retailer before venturing into publishing in 1925. Shuter & Shooter Publishers was one of the first companies in South Africa to publish extensively in the country's indigenous languages. Over the past 97 years, the company has established itself as a leading publisher of IsiZulu literature. Our primary target audience is children aged 4 to 18. Over the past decade, the company has experienced sustained growth in its educational publishing list and has positioned itself as a leader in the South African schools' sector. The company has representation in all of South Africa's provinces and is able to reach all of South Africa's 26 000 public schools. Shuter & Shooter Publishers develop material in all of South Africa's official languages. In addition to our textbooks, literature, and other children's resources, we also have an extensive range of digital learning materials. This includes e-book versions of all our prescribed texts as well as a growing bouquet of animated video lessons.
